Hey guys! I hope you are having an amazing week. I wanted to share with you a funny story of mine. One that just makes you laugh, and go back to your teen years when you did dumb things!

I was 19 years old, with a pretty new mustang. I used to go to a place called Doty Road in Illinois. It was the place to be every Friday night. Everyone who was anyone had their car down there, racing together.

I can still smell the fumes of burning rubber mixed with a bit of garbage since it wasn’t too far from the dump. As the rides pulled in, under the bridge, I would begin to size up my competition.

Females, racing their car, in 1993 was pretty scares, that was a man’s world. Unless you were fearless. And one of the guys. That was me. Just one of the guys. We understood one another. I wasn’t one of those frilly girls. After the things I had been through who wanted to wear a pink dress with a cute white bow in your hair? Not me. I wore black. Black leather pants, black boots no matter the weather, black t-shirts and of course… shades.

I remember laughing as I placed bets on myself and watching them run to place bets against me. What they never expected was, I had absolutely zero fear. About anything. I could hit that button and kick in that nitrous quicker than ten men put together. I did not flinch as I flew down the road into the fog. I lived for the thrill of it.

That night, I made about $7,000. In the 90’s that may as well have been $50,000.

The moral to the story is. Have no fear. Be yourself. Be your strength. Be the force no one can reckon with. Because in the end, living in fear leads to living with regrets. Live life to the absolute fullest!
